Leather Bricklayer Jounce Mug Coozie!

Leather Mason Jar Mug Coozie!

Turn a pint sized appall into a rustic looking mug amongst a unproblematic leather jacket!
Great gift for fathers in addition to other guys!

This doesn't accept much leather-working skills or NEED specialized tools.

Supplies:
Mason Jar pint size
leather
two sets of rivets
truthful cat gut thread in addition to heavy needle
leather hole punch (or heavy needle)
hammer

To start I measured my pint jar.
It's ten 1/4" unopen to in addition to iii inches tall for a skillful coozie.

I used my rotary cutter, my direct in addition to mat...
an x-acto or hobby knife/ruler would operate too.
Cut i slice that measures iii inches tall in addition to ten 1/4 inches wide.
Cut a skinny strip that is 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch broad in addition to vi inches tall too!

Then I used a leather hole punch in addition to punched vi holes downwards each iii inch side.

Like this...
If y'all don't cause got a punch, y'all tin pierce the leather amongst a heavy needle.

The skinny strip is going to rivet onto the broad leather.

Since I convey been blogging straight off for almost 4 years...
I catch it would hold upward fun to revisit some quondam posts.
So, this year...on Thursdays, I'll post a throwback!
Maybe I'll convey an update, some novel pictures or alter upward somehow!
I mean value it volition hold upward fun!
So, today:

Mason Jar Pincushions!
Totally updated!

You volition need:

Ball Mason Jars...1/2 pint size Elite collection...wide mouth!

They are too hence cute because they are too hence squatty!
Best house I constitute to purchase them was TARGET.

Okay, whatever stonemason offend volition work!

And it's only changing upward the lid...so you lot could mix it upward later!

You volition also need:

cork, scissors, hot gum gun, jars, cotton fiber stuffing, dark newspaper too cute fabric

Cut a slice of cork to agree within the top of the sealing lid.
The cork is the existent VIP of this project. It volition give your pins something to traveling steal into and
hold them inwards place. Just cotton fiber volition non brand a neat pincushion.

Hot gum it inwards place.
(disregard the horrible chippy nails...)

Notice the cork fits within amongst a 1/4" border...this is important.

Next cutting a circle of fabric...about vii inches or so...
